Outside of the San Gabriel Valley, there are a total of 705 cases in Whittier and its surrounding communities.

The Burbank-Glendale area, including La Canada Flintridge, has 523 cases.

The cities of Pomona and Claremont have 98 cases.

There could be more cases in any of these areas. The county is still investigating 1,083 possible COVID-19 cases and hasn’t yet released information on where those patients live in the county.

And due to the limited availability of COVID-19 tests, officials have said there are many more people infected with the novel coronavirus than are represented in these numbers.

As of Monday across Los Angeles County, the health departments of LA County and the cities of Pasadena and Long Beach have recorded 13,857 confirmed cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Of the 13,857 patients with positive COVID-19 tests, 3,465 have been hospitalized.

There have been 624 deaths in the county due to the virus.
