Congestion in Pomona Fairplex area with coronavirus testing, food pantry underway

Police on Wednesday morning asked motorists who do not have the Fairplex area as their destination to avoid it if they can.

Pomona police reported heavy traffic Wednesday morning, April 15, in the area of the Fairplex because of a  drive-up food pantry in addition to coronavirus testing going on at the venue.

Police asked that motorists who do not need to be in the area to avoid it until 1 p.m.

Pomona motorcycle officers are on the scene to help with traffic control.

The Fairplex is the site of the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds.
