Mercury Will Climb to 90 in Pasadena Tuesday

Pasadena’s first heatwave of 2020 is almost a week old Tuesday, and the high will again climb to 90, as it did last week, forecasters said.

Tuesday’s temperatures will generally be 10-15 degrees above normal, said National Weather Service meteorologist Todd Hall.

He said the one somewhat unusual aspect of the current heatwave, which began last Wednesday, is that it showed up a little earlier than usual.

The balance of the week as well as the weekend into next week will be a succession of carbon copy days, with temps in the upper 80’s and the skies sunny.

Here are the details:Today: Sunny, with a high near 90. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east southeast in the morning.

Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 57. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the evening.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the morning.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 86.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 84.
